August 27, 2014 -- Evolution Hollywood Film Festival

Evolution Hollywood Film Festival

3rd Annual EMIFF #SEE THE WINNERS screening in Hollywood!!

PLEASE save the date for Wednesday, August 27th from 4pm-10pm at the Los Angeles Film School on 6363 Sunset Blvd. LA, CA 90028.

#SEE THE WINNERS is a inspiring selection of 6 award-winning films - 4 shorts and 2 features - from the 2013 Evolution, Mallorca International Film Festival (EMIFF) in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

All 6 movies are very special to me and tell important, cutting-edge stories about...

A young Palestinian struggling to support his parents after their expulsion to a refugee camp by Israeli forces in 1945.

The Syrian revolution as told through the experiences of two young Syrians.

Beate, a former professional swimmer from the DDR in Germany, who is diagnosed with cancer and wants to go after her dream one last time.

Mirta, a Cuban immigrant in Madrid, who won’t miss her daughters wedding for any price.

Rezeta, a carefree 21-year old beauty from Kosovo, who is traveling the world as a model; when she meets Alex in Mexico City, she has to either commit or continue with her whimsical, jet-setting life.

As the fastest growing competitive festival in the Mediterranean, EMIFF is a launching pad for promising new talent in all genres, and each year #SEE THE WINNERS introduces the festival standouts to Hollywood audiences.

Fresh. Provocative. Hip. Distinctive. These are the hallmarks of EMIFF. Our winning films display unique points-of-view, compelling stories, social relevance, and emotional range.

Following screenings at EMIFF, festival winners and filmmakers have received Oscar nominations as well as international recognition from Slamdance, GOYA, and the Milano IFF.
