BROKEN HORSES, the English language debut film from award winning Indian writer/director/producer Vindhu Vinod Chopra (PK, 3 IDIOTS, PARINDA). Last year Chopra produced PK which become the highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
BROKEN HORSES stars Vincent D'Onofrio (RUN ALL NIGHT, THE JUDGE, Daredevil) Anton Yelchin (EXPERIMENTER, 5 TO 7, STAR TREK 3, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, STAR TREK), Sean Patrick Flannery (Dexter, THE BOONDOCK SAINTS), Thomas Jane (VICE, The Expanse, Hung), Chris Marquette (THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, FANBOYS), and Maria Valverde (EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS).
BROKEN HORSES will open in Los Angeles and New York on April 10 followed by a national rollout. After leaving town following the death of his father, young music prodigy, Jacob Heckum (Anton Yelchin), returns to his desolate hometown only to discover that Buddy (Chris Marquette), the child-like brother he left behind now works for a drug gang. The gang’s ruthless leader (Vincent D’Onofrio) has twisted his simple mind and manipulated him into a killer... a surrogate son who blindly does as he is told. Jacob is drowned in guilt for having abandoned his brother and realizes the only way to save him from his new fraternity is to join them. Set in the shadows of the US-Mexico border gang wars, BROKEN HORSES is a gritty, thriller about the bonds of brotherhood, the laws of loyalty, and the futility of violence.
